FireFox で link-prefetching が動いていた

各所で話題の「http://textocean.com/article/18/blitzfox-courtesy」。高速化はとりあえずどうでもいい*1んですが、そのページの後ろのほうより。

これはブラウザでabout:configといれ、「network.prefetch-next」とうってみるとわかるが、すでに値は「1(true)」となっているので、まぁおまじない程度に。

げげ、動いてんの？とオプション設定を見るも項目無し。あれば切っているし。で説明どおり about:config から network.prefetch-next を false に。参照されていたmozilla.org の FAQ には

Are anchor (<a>) tags prefetched?

No, only <link> tags w/ a relation type of next or prefetch are prefetched. However, if there is sufficient interest, we may expand linkprefetching support to include prefetching <a> tags, which include a relation type of next or prefetch in the future. Doing so would probably help content providers avoid the problem of stale prefetching links.

とあるのでプリフェッチされるページはごく一部なんだけどまぁなんとなく気持ちの問題で。
